Al Berkey

Al is a 5-string bass machine, and his love for the Beatles and baseball make him right at home in this band.

He plays an Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray 5-string w/active electronics and a Mid-70's Fender P-bass. His signal is fed into an SWR 400 tube overdrive amp running a Hartke 410 aluminum cone cabinet and a Bagend 15" cube cab.

For vocals, Al favors a Shure SM-57, and his bass signal is typically fed direct to the soundboard from his amplifier.

He was born in Seattle, raised in Puyallup and lives in Tacoma, where he is an engineering computer programmer for the City of Tacoma.

Al was a vocalist and bassist with the Malchicks and also played with Groove House and the Elvi.
